Crossing paths years ago, these two reconnected later on social media to kindle the flames that they had years early when they met at friend’s birthday dinner and hit it off. Fast forward and the fire was still there. Kylie and James reconnected and that set everything into motion. On Christmas Eve a little while later, James built up the courage to ask Kylie to spend forever with him while they were visiting the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver.
Their wedding was small and intimate. Kylie and James both got ready at the Opus Hotel in Downtown Vancouver as they prepared to make vows in front of only about 80 people. Kylie took her time getting ready with only her sister in the room with her. No clutter and no stress was definitely making the experience better for her. She was relaxed and easy laughter flowed between the two siblings.
The couple decided to do a first look before the ceremony and chose to have it in the lobby of the hotel. It was such a touching moment they planned. Instead of James turning around to see her, they stood back to back before the first look. They stood there waiting to turn and holding hands. They were both taking in the pure bliss and anticipation of the moment together. After the emotional first look, we all traveled to Queen Elizabeth Park for a quick photo session.
Both the ceremony and the reception were held in the Diamond Ballroom with an incredibly gorgeous view of Vancouver and the North Shone Mountains in the distance. The whole day was quiet, intimate, and full of small, but special moments that often get lost in big wedding events. We loved every minute of it.

The Beach House Restaurant Wedding | Wedding Photography Vancouver. Olivia and Brad met at University on their graduation night. A night full of celebration led to two people who had been crossing paths for four years to find that special connection. Olivia says, “I drove to the graduation night and he jumped into my car to go to the after party!” They even had mutual friends but had never met until that fateful night and fate is the best way to describe these two. The proposal much more romantic than the initial meeting. It may have included a helicopter, a mountain, a waterfall, and a stunning ring! Olivia recalls how special the proposal was because it was so thoughtful and intimate. It’s the kind of proposal that fairytales are made from and that make two people feel like they are the only ones in the world.
Their wedding was very similar. Highly emotional, intimate, and very romantic. The total guests topped out at about 30 people and that was very intentional for these two. They didn’t need big gestures to impress anyone because this wasn’t a show, it was a promise of commitment. They two got ready for their ceremony at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel and the tea ceremony was held in the morning light. The ceremony itself was held at the beach of Dundarave Villiage on the green grass with simple chairs set out for the guests. The reception after was at the Beach House Restaurant and brought all of the joy full-circle.

From the cold December morning that made official that they wanted to spend forever together, that time finally came in May. Esma and Robby met through their jobs as he was investigating a case at her bank. They crossed paths again a little while later and the rest is history. These two have known from almost their first meeting that they wanted to be together and this incredible day showed how ready they were to be married. Their wedding was a beautiful traditional Indian wedding full of bright colors and bright faces.
The day started early in the morning and the fun didn’t stop until very late that night. It was full of music, dancing, and blessings. These two were so fun to work with and were so clearly loved by their families.
Traditional Indian weddings which we absolutely love to photograph are beautiful and elegant but they are also filled with meaning. Each tradition and cultural ritual is marked with history and love from their family members before them. The culture keeps these traditions strong and of high value so they can pass this knowledge onto the next generation with pride. We were thankful to have the opportunity to photograph and witness these special moment and traditions and thank Esma and Robby for letting us share in their special day. We have loved seeing them grow as a couple from their engagement until their wedding and can’t wait to see how they grow as husband and wife in their lives together.

Now Jade Mexico Wedding | Destination wedding photography. Wedding vows are made up of phrase like, “through sickness and in health,” “for richer or for poorer,” and “for better, for worse,” but these two deserve something more along the lines of, “through rain, sleet, snow, and more!” Roxy and Jaryd have weathered quite a lot together. And by weathered, we really mean they have been through all types of weather! It’s a good thing that Jaryd is a determined man because anyone else would have turned the other way when the proposal consisted of snow and sleet and the engagement session was in pouring rain!
Despite having a few run-ins with Mother Nature that weren’t ideal, these two are so much fun and genuinely make the best of any situation. After the snowy, cold proposal and the rainy engagement day that seem like just yesterday, these two were set on making sure the weather would be perfect when they seal the deal.
Choosing a destination wedding is a big choice, but it’s often a great choice. It doubles as a fun trip for everyone involved, gives the couple new scenery, and is a chance to add unique views and landscapes to their pictures. It also can bring better weather. Jaryd and Roxy weren’t taking their chances on weather after their history and it was the best decision they made.
It was perfectly sunny and warm on their wedding day with a slight breeze on the water at the Now Jade Riviera Cancun Resort. In the beautiful city of Riviera Maya, Mexico was the best place for these two to start their life together. It was clear to see that these two were meant to be together, through rain, wind, snow, and more. The true test of marriage is to weather the storm of life together and these two have a great head start.

Stanley Park Wedding Vancouver | Wedding Photography Vancouver. Jessica and Jordan met each other in Thompson, Manitoba at a garage party in -40 degrees. “It was my first week and his first day. We didn’t know anyone very well at the party, so we ended up talking the whole night” says Jessica. Having met in freezing cold, these two got engaged on the tropical island of Maui. Jessica shared the romantic story of Jordan’s proposal: “The sun had just set and they had lovely lights on the patio, and the band was playing a slow song from the restaurant that we could still hear. I mentioned how perfect the moment was, and looked over to see him holding a ring. He then asked me to marry him. After crying for 10 minutes I managed to say YES!”.
During their engagement session and the wedding day Jessica and Jordan were so laid back, so easy to work with. They just wanted to be themselves, have fun and enjoy the time with family and friends.
For their intimate Stanley Park Wedding Vancouver ceremony they chose Stanley Park and invited closest friends and family. The ceremony was followed by a photo session in the Rose Garden. On the way to reception Jessica and Jordan wanted to make a quick stop at the Pacific Spirit Regional Park, where they used to walk a lot, to take some photos. And yes, it started raining! You know how much we love rain and we couldn’t be happier. Jess and Jordan didn’t mind to get wet, and photos from the Park turned our amazing. Dinner at the Enigma restaurant in super fun and warm atmosphere wrapped up this beautiful and happy day. Thank you guys for trusting us to capture your big day!

Northview Golf & Country Club Wedding | Wedding Photography Vancouver. Since then, it has been our pleasure to accompany Stephanie and Damian throughout the course of their wedding adventure. Their commitment to one another was clear during the entire engagement session, as we photographed them against a backdrop of snowy mountains at the top of the Sea-to-Sky Gondola. Stephanie and Damian, we discovered throughout the course of their photo shoots with us, have a taste for adventure and travel, which may have been what brought them together. Their wedding day took place on a warm and sunny afternoon in August, and continued into the evening. The bride wore a mermaid style, white gown, and stood out among the soft pink bridesmaids dresses. The groom wore a classic black and white tuxedo, with a bow tie and french cuff links to compliment the formal nature of the wedding. A violinist played as the wedding party proceeded down the aisle. This day is August is one to be remembered forever by Stephanie and Damian, and we were honored to have been invited to contribute to these memories.
The chapel in which Northview Golf & Country Club Wedding took place was adorned with antique stained glass, among various other old world finishes. The ceilings were high, and provided optimal lighting to encapsulate the bride’s beauty. Later, at the reception venue, beautiful Northview Golf & Country Club, lush greenery dotted with whites and pinks perfectly suited the wedding party colors again. The reception room offered a high ceiling with wooden beams. The tables were covered in white, which provided us with a great backdrop throughout the course of the day. Later in the evening the festivities picked up, and we were sorry when we had to leave Stephanie and Damian, to the rest of their celebration. We imagine that after this picturesque wedding, things are going to quiet down for a while for Damian and Stephanie.

Rowena’s Inn Wedding | Wedding Photography Vancouver. From the time we photographed Amy and David’s engagement session in May we knew that their intimate wedding would be something special. Their feelings and emotions for each other were so strong that we could almost feel them. All the love they put in organisation of this wedding, attention to the smallest details of décor, their blessings to each other during the ceremony instead of traditional vows – all these made Amy and David’s big day very special. They made this day all about their love, their friends and family. It was a true honor for us to be a part of it.
Amy and David got married at one of the most beautiful outdoor venues – Rowena’s Inn in Harrison Mills. It has stunning views of the golf course, river and mountains. Villa di Fonti wedding Surrey | Wedding Photography Vancouver. We had a pleasure to meet Cara & Chris last year and photographed engagement of this sweet couple in January 2016 at Furry Creek. Chris and Cara were introduced through two of their friends that felt they would be perfect for one another. “We both felt a little awkward at the possibility of being setup, and their friends were making it worse by acting like they were setting up two animals to mate at the zoo”, guys shared their story. But it worked out. And it was our honor to be a part of their wedding day in July.
For their wedding Cara & Chris chose Villa di Fonti in Surrey. We can hardly find the words to describe how gorgeous this property is. Beautiful, spacious, stylish but at the same time very homey and cozy. Garden, loans and beautiful ponds on its territory provide excellent opportunities for stunning photos. What an excellent venue for the big day!
