Rainy Engagement Session Vancouver | Wedding Photography Vancouver. Roxy and Jaryd met in Mexico and no wonder that they chose to come back to Mexico in March to celebrate their happiest day. We truly enjoyed working with Roxy and Jaryd during their engagement session this September. The weather was not cooperating on the day of the session; it was rainy and gloomy. But we love rain! We love taking photos in the rain because it presents so many great opportunities for creative and unique shots. It can be lots of fun and is just so different! Nevertheless, we always offer our couples a choice to reschedule the session if they are not quite ready to get wet 🙂 So we couldn’t have been happier when we received a text message from Roxy saying “We don’t mind rain. We have an umbrella”! And we love how the photographs turned out at the end.

Location

For their engagement session Roxy and Jaryd chose Pacific Spirit Park near the University Golf Club. Jaryd’s hobby is birdwatching. There are several spots in the park where Roxy and Jaryd have gone watching birds together, and they really wanted to take pictures in these places. Even though it was raining Roxy and Jaryd didn’t mind taking pictures without an umbrella. We enjoyed the creative photo session in the rain but it couldn’t last long. This is one of the major cons of photographing in the rain. We all got so wet and so cold, so we decided to finish the engagement session next week. But it was worth it!

For the second part of the Rainy Engagement Session Vancouver Roxy and Jaryd chose the Spanish Banks beach where we were lucky to catch a beautiful soft pink-orange sunset with mountains in the background. We cannot wait to photograph their destination wedding in Mexico next year!
